Scan Logs

Quick Start

  1. Go to Event > Scan Logs
  2. Filter by gate, date, scanner, or status
  3. Export as CSV if needed

Who this is for

  • Event Admins / Managers: audit entry/exit activity per venue, gate, and scanner

Where to Find It

  • Navigate: Event > Scanners > Scan Logs

Filters

Use the filter row above the table to narrow results:

  • Venue: show sessions at a specific venue only
  • Gate: show sessions involving a specific gate (check-in or check-out)
  • Scanner: limit to sessions handled by a particular scanner
  • Status: Active (checked-in, not yet checked out) or Completed
  • Date Range: filter by check-in date

Tips:

  • Combine Venue + Gate for precise lane tracking
  • Click Clear Filters to reset all filters

Statistics

Cards summarize the current filtered data:

  • Active Sessions: guests currently checked in
  • Completed Sessions: guests who checked out
  • Total Sessions: all records matching filters
  • Avg Duration (min): average dwell time for completed sessions

Timezone:
Times display in your user preference timezone (hover to see timezone).

Checkout behavior & timezones

  • Last update / process timestamp: Each scan session shows its most recent update time (for example when a check-out is recorded). This helps you identify the latest system or operator action on the session.
  • System (automatic) checkout: In some cases the system automatically performs a checkout (for example when an assignment window ends or during housekeeping). These system-initiated checkouts are recorded as normal checkout events and appear in the logs with the system as the actor.
  • Event timezone (authoritative): System-initiated checkouts use the event's configured timezone as the authoritative timezone for determining when an automatic checkout should occur. The UI displays timestamps converted to the viewer's preferred timezone, but exports and audit notes include the event timezone context to avoid ambiguity.

Export CSV

  • Click Export CSV to download the current filtered dataset
  • The CSV includes all table fields and an extra column indicating the event timezone used for system checkouts (where applicable)
  • Times are exported in your user timezone and include an event_timezone column for reference

Expected Behaviors and Validations

  • Active vs Completed: derived from presence of check-out time
  • Gate filter: matches either check-in or check-out gate
  • Scanner filter: matches either check-in or check-out operator
  • Date range: applies to check-in date
