Overview
WhatsApp in Evencia lets you communicate with your event guests directly through WhatsApp. You can send individual messages, run bulk campaigns to large groups of guests, and hold two-way conversations — all without leaving Evencia.
Message templates
Send WhatsApp messages to guests using pre-approved message templates.
Bulk campaigns
Run campaigns to groups of guests based on their tags.

Schedule campaigns to go out at a specific date and time.
Shared inbox
Read and reply to incoming WhatsApp messages from guests.

Connect your WhatsApp Business Account so messages come from your number.
Where to find it
From your event's main navigation, select WhatsApp. Inside, you will find the following sections accessible from the tab bar at the top:

The tabs that appear depend on your permissions. If you cannot see a section, contact your administrator.
Before you start
- You need an Organizer or Event Manager role for the event.
- WhatsApp messages use pre-approved templates provided by Meta (WhatsApp's owner). Templates must be approved before you can use them to send campaigns.
- To send messages, guests need a phone number saved in their guest profile.
- Guests must be organized into Tags if you want to target groups.
How WhatsApp messages work
Evencia sends WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business API. There are two ways Evencia can send on behalf of your event:
- Shared number — Messages are sent from Evencia's own WhatsApp Business number. No setup required.
- Your own number (BYOW) — Messages are sent from your company's WhatsApp Business number. Requires connecting your WhatsApp Business Account in Settings.
