Game
Create and manage games, game stations, and player activity for your event.
Overview
The Game feature lets you add interactive games to your event and track how guests participate. You can set up multiple games, each with its own scoring rules and physical stations where guests play. A complete log of every game session is recorded automatically.
Where to find Games
Once you have selected an event, find Games in the event's left-hand navigation.
Inside the Games section you will find three tabs at the top:
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Games | Create and manage games for your event. |
| Stations | Create and manage the physical locations where games are played. |
| Play Logs | View and manage every recorded game session. |
The tabs that appear depend on your permissions. If a tab is not visible, contact your administrator.
Before you start
- You need an Organizer or Event Manager role for the event, or an administrator account.
- At least one Station must exist before you can create a game — games are assigned to one or more stations.
- Scores are recorded by staff or scanning staff on the day. Guests do not record their own scores.
How to manage games
Step 1 — Open Games
From your event's navigation, select Games.
You will land on the Games tab showing all existing games as cards.
Step 2 — Create a game
Select Add Game in the top-right corner.
A form will open. Fill in the following fields:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | The name of the game as it will appear to staff and in reports. Maximum 200 characters. Required. |
| Scoring Type | How scores are ranked. Choose Higher is better (e.g. most points wins) or Lower is better (e.g. fastest time wins). Required. |
| Score Unit | The unit used to measure scores, for example Points, Seconds, or Metres. Required. |
| Min Score | The lowest score that can be recorded for this game. Optional. |
| Max Score | The highest score that can be recorded. Must be equal to or greater than the minimum score. Optional. |
| Max Attempts | The maximum number of times a guest can play this game. Leave empty for unlimited attempts. Between 1 and 100. Optional. |
| Active | Turn this on to allow scores to be recorded. Turn it off to pause the game without deleting it. |
| Stations | Select one or more stations where this game can be played. At least one station is required. |
| Description | A short description of the game. Maximum 2,000 characters. Optional. |
| Rules | The rules shown to participants. Maximum 5,000 characters. Optional. |
Select Create to save. The game will appear as a card on the Games tab.
Step 3 — Edit a game
To update a game's details:
- Find the game card and select the pencil icon (Edit).
- Update the fields you want to change.
- Select Update to save.
Step 4 — Delete a game
To remove a game:
- On the game card, select the trash icon (Delete).
- Confirm the action.
The game is moved to the trash. It is not permanently removed — you can restore it if needed.
Step 5 — Restore or permanently delete a game
If you have restore or permanent delete permissions, a filter bar appears at the top of the Games tab:
- Select Trashed to see deleted games.
- Select the restore icon (circular arrow) to bring a game back.
- Select the X icon to permanently delete the game. This cannot be undone.
Searching and filtering games
At the top of the Games tab you can:
- Search — type in the search box to find games by name or description. Results update as you type.
- Filter by status — switch between Active, Trashed, and All (visible only if you have restore or permanent delete permission).

Common issues
I cannot see the Add Game button
You may not have permission to create games. Contact your administrator if you believe you should have access.
The station I need is not in the list
Stations must be created first in the Stations tab before they appear in the game form. Switch to the Stations tab and add your station, then return to create the game.
I cannot see the Trashed or All filters
These filters are only shown to users who have restore or permanent delete permissions. Contact your administrator if you need to restore a deleted game.
Tips
- Set a Max Score and Min Score to help staff record scores accurately and avoid data entry errors.
- Use Max Attempts to limit how many times each guest can play, which is useful for fairness in competitive games.
- Turn a game Inactive when play has ended so no new scores can be recorded, without deleting the game and its history.
- Write clear Rules so staff can read them directly from the game card when explaining the game to guests.
