Play Logs
View and manage every game session recorded at your event, with statistics and validity controls.
Overview
Play Logs is a complete record of every game session played at your event. Each time a guest plays a game, a log entry is created automatically by the staff or scanning device recording the score. You can search, filter, and sort play logs, and mark individual sessions as valid or invalid.
Where to find Play Logs
From your event's navigation, select Games, then select the Play Logs tab at the top of the page.
Statistics overview
At the top of the Play Logs tab, four summary cards give you an at-a-glance view of activity across all games at your event:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total Plays | The total number of game sessions recorded |
| Valid Plays | The number of sessions marked as valid |
| Invalid Plays | The number of sessions marked as invalid |
| Unique Players | The number of individual guests who have played at least one game |
The statistics reflect your current search and date filters, but are not affected by the validity filter — they always show the full picture for the filtered set.
Filtering and searching play logs
Below the statistics cards you will find a row of filters:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search guest | Search by guest name or guest ID. Results update as you type. |
| All games | Filter to show play sessions for a specific game only. |
| All stations | Filter to show play sessions recorded at a specific station only. |
| Date from | Show only sessions played on or after this date and time. |
| Date to | Show only sessions played on or before this date and time. |
| All / Valid / Invalid | Show all sessions, or only valid, or only invalid sessions. |
You can combine any number of filters at the same time. Clear a filter to remove it.
The play logs table
The play logs are shown in a table. Each row represents one game session:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Guest ID | The unique identifier of the guest who played |
| Guest | The full name of the guest |
| Game | The name of the game that was played |
| Station | The station where the session took place |
| Score | The score recorded, with its unit (e.g. 42 Points) |
| Validity | Whether the session is marked as Valid or Invalid |
| Played At | The date and time the session was recorded |
| Staff | The staff member who recorded the session |
You can sort the table by Score, Validity, or Played At by selecting the column header. Select the same header again to reverse the sort order.
You can also control how many rows appear per page using the rows-per-page selector at the bottom of the table (10, 20, 50, or 100 rows).
Marking a session as valid or invalid
If you have the required permission, each row in the table has a button on the right side:
- If the session is Valid, the button lets you mark it as Invalid.
- If the session is Invalid, the button lets you mark it as Valid.
Select the button and the validity status updates immediately.
This is useful if a session was recorded by mistake, a score was entered incorrectly, or an issue was identified with a particular play.
Common issues
I cannot see the validity toggle button
You may not have permission to change play validity. Contact your administrator if you believe you should have access.
A guest's session does not appear in the list
Check that your filters are not hiding the session. Clear the game, station, and date filters, and search by the guest's name or ID to locate the record.
The statistics do not change when I apply the validity filter
The summary statistics (Total, Valid, Invalid, Unique Players) update when you apply the search, game, station, and date filters, but they are not affected by the Valid / Invalid validity filter. They always show the overall picture for the current search criteria.
Tips
- Use the date range filters to focus on a specific time window, for example the first hour of an activity to spot any early issues.
- Mark sessions Invalid rather than trying to delete them — this keeps the full history intact while excluding those sessions from rankings and statistics.
- Use the Unique Players statistic to gauge overall participation across all games at your event.
